no further in the matter.

A resolution was moved in the
Legislative Council on 23rd. January last to vote the sum
of money estimated to be required for the current year's
expenditure on the Railway Construction. When considered
in Finance Committee a general desire was expressed for
full information as to the progress made, the total
expenditure involved, and the reason of the increase in
the Estimates. In response to this desire I made a full
statement of which I enclose a copy for Your Lordship's
information.
